Summer is just around the corner, and we are planning a fun-filled July!  Children
finishing three and four-year-old nursery school are eligible for the summer
“camp” program at The Village Nursery School.  We plan to meet four mornings
each week, from 9-11:30am.  This year our “counselors” will be Mrs. Marian Kane,
teacher of our 3-year-olds, and Mrs. Pat Corea. We are planning some super
outdoor and indoor activities.

The program will be limited to sixteen children each week, at a cost of $50.00 per
child, per week.  To ensure your child’s spot, we ask that the first week’s fee of
$50.00 be included with the registration form.  If your child is attending more than
one week, a deposit of $20.00 for each additional week will be required with
registration.  

The fee will cover all art materials, special events, and snacks.  Children currently
enrolled in The Village Nursery School and children of Cornwall Presbyterian
Church members will have an opportunity to enroll until April 30th.  In the event
that we still have openings after April 30th, the camp will be open to the public for
children of similar ages, who have attended a pre-school.  To help you choose,
the schedule is listed below.

The Village Nursery School offers a…

Three-Year-Old Program
Class size is limited to 14 students per class taught by 2 experienced teachers.  
Instructional focus is on socialization, following directions, separating from
parent, acting as a group, simple rules of kind behavior, sharing, playing with
others, and taking turns.  Basic monthly themes of colors, shapes, and holidays
dovetail with the 4’s program.

Tuesdays and Thursdays  
9:00-11:30 AM OR 12:30-3:00 PM.  
Tuition $100/month

Children entering the three-year-old program must be
three by December 1, 2010
and need to be potty trained.


Four-Year-Old Program
Class size is limited to 16 students per class taught by 2 experienced teachers.
This program builds on the basis taught in the three’s program (as mentioned
above), taking the same themes and building upon them with more activities.  The
focus is on giving students more responsibilities and preparing them for
Kindergarten with pre- reading, writing, and math skills.  Students will also learn
to recognize their names as well as numbers and the alphabet (by sound and
letter).  In addition basic Spanish (counting and colors) will be introduced.

four by December 1, 2010.
