Cornwall Presbyterian Church
Cornwall-on-Hudson, New York
Sunshine Network:
The Sunshine Network is a group of CPC individuals who help those in the
congregation in need, when able to do so. This may be in the form of a meal,
bringing food to the church, or providing transportation. We want to expand the
network to include more of the congregation. As in the saying, “Many hands
make light work,” the more who can help the better. Members of the Sunshine
Network can also decline when called; there is no obligation. If you would like to
be a part of this mission, please contact Donna Niblo. There will also be a sign
up sheet in the back of the Sanctuary and on the Blanket table downstairs.
Blankets for the Newburgh Ministry:
Blankets are being solicited for the homeless and those in shelters. Gently used
blankets are welcome. You can also find blankets at Wal-Mart (“The Essential
Blanket”) for $5.00 which are suitable for donation.
Blanket the World with Love:
Please join us by donating to the Church World Service Blanket program. Just
$5.00 will supply a blanket to anyone devastated by a disaster or just in need of
a warm blanket. These blankets can be used for beds, shelters, clothing, and in
various other ways. All contribution amounts are welcome. Cards are available
for those who wish to dedicate their blanket donation as a gift. Please see
Donna Niblo for additional information.
Remember the Food Pantry:
About one in five children and one family in seven go
hungry in the United States every day. (feedingamerica.org)
The Need Continues: contributions are needed all year long.
Please continue to contribute non-perishable items to church
each week. Items like cereal, peanut butter, canned
vegetables, soups, rice, dried milk, etc. are always
appreciated.
Operation Cookie Deployment:
Please begin saving those empty coffee cans (and any
other suitable containers) for Operation Cookie
Deployment so we may securely pack the goodies. Leave
them, marked, in the kitchen, or call Marion Thomas
We recently (August, 2012) completed our first week of hosting families. What

you expect knowing of our extensive hosting and cooking talents!!!
Vicky Knight thanks all who contributed time, supplies, meals, laughter,
prayers, and love to our guests.
